Wippo of Burgundy was the poet and priest who chronicled the life of Conrad II (990-1039), the first holy Roman emperor of the Frankish dynasty. One of his most famous sayings is engraved in the fuller of our Wippo of Burgundy sword: "Falsus in ore caret honore. Qui falsitate vivit, animam occidit." The English translation: "He who lives in falsehood slays his soul; he who lies, his honor." This maxim is the cherry on the cake: the Wippo of Burgundy sword already has everything you could ask for in a hand a half sword.
