The comic strip, "The Phantom," was created in 1936 by Lee Falk and tells the story of the crime-fighter, Kit Walker, who takes on the role of the 22nd phantom. phantom. The long tradition of phantoms dates back to 1536 when after a bloody pirate attack a young sailor swore to get merciless revenge on all criminals of the world. Ever since embodying the phantom has been handed down from generation to generation.

The Phantom Jungle Knife is a detail-rich replica of the drawn prototype. This collectors item features a tapered blade of carbon steel and is equipped with parrying daggers on the top and bottom. A hand guard separates the grip of hardwood from the blade. On one side a skull decorates the grip; on the other side there are four P's. Similarly, a skull figures prominently on the impressive pommel – it is the phantom's trademark, after all.

The skull motif repeats a third time on the top of the wooden collector's box (37 x 11 cm) and cloth lines the inside, where "The Phantom" is written in original form.
