Attention: According to the Swiss Weapons Act (as of 2013), a cantonal exemption permit must be obtained from the cantonal weapons office when importing prohibited weapons such as these (e.g. all throwing knives, daggers under 30 cm blade length) into Switzerland. We can ship the items in question without any problems, but the parcel must usually be picked up at the responsible customs office and presented with the required documents.
Our rondel dagger with a horn grip is based on the type of rondel dagger that started to become popular in the 14th century and was used by people in almost all classes of society. It could be used as a utensil or in battle – as shown in the book illustrations of the time. Two disks typically replaced the crossguard and pommel familiar from other swords, but this version has an eight-sided hand guard and a rounded, mushroom-shaped pommel made of high quality steel. The blade has a well-proportioned ricasso and the tang is sandwiched between two buffalo horn plates to make the grip.
